Houston (Texas) Cy-Fair running back Sam McGuffie was offered by University of Southern California coach Pete Carroll and assistant Ken Norton Jr. during school on Thursday. The 6-foot, 185-pound 5A All-Texas selection was named the Greater Houston Area's Player of the Year in 2006.
